The Solas Safe Pass is a mandatory one-day safety awareness course required for anyone working on construction sites in Ireland. It ensures that workers can carry out their duties safely without posing risks to themselves or others. Every employer must keep a record confirming that all site employees hold a valid Safe Pass card, which is issued for a period of four years.

The purpose of the Safe Pass programme is to raise safety awareness, reduce accidents, and promote a stronger safety culture across construction sites. It ensures compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013, which require all workers to hold a valid Safe Pass card.
